Children and families

Pregnant womanProviding the right health services for children is an important part of the work Northumberland Care Trust does to help keep Northumberland healthy.

Your health visitor will meet you and your family before your baby is born and will continue to offer support and advice on all aspects of your child's health throughout their development.

Once your child starts school health advisors will provide targeted, age appropriate information and support on all aspects of health, including confidential advice on sexual health, healthy eating, emotional concerns and physical activity.

Northumberland Care Trust works closely with FACT, the families and children's trust, to enable all sorts of different organisations to work together to improve the wellbeing of all children, young people and their parents in Northumberland.
