Local services for black minority ethnic groups - this NHS website has been set up to provide a searchable database of services available for people from black and ethnic minority groups in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland.

Newcastle interpreting service - the Newcastle interpreting service provides high quality interpreting services to help with communications between professionals (doctors, nurses and other health professionals) and patients, families and carers who are unable to communicate using English. If you require an interpreter please let your GP know.

Mental health foundation - this website contains information on all types of mental health problems, a forum where you can share your views and personal stories and details of the national campaigns that the mental health foundation is working on to encourage a better understanding of mental health issues.

MIND - the website for this national charity contains leaflets and information in a range of different languages

National BME mental health network (BMEMHN) - the BMEMHN is a national network which highlights the major concerns for black and minority ethnic mental health service users and organisations.

Northumberland community development network - this website contains background information about the Network and its projects, news of interest to people who are involved in community development, and resources to help you in your work in the community.

BECON: black ethnic minority community organisations network - the North East network for the black voluntary and community sector works to ensure that voluntary organisations for people from BME communities get access to funding and support.
